Research: Reflection on progress

By nostalgically looking back at my blog from last year, I realised how much I had learnt since then!

1. More Detail
I feel that I now delve into research a lot more than I used to, I used to give more vague overviews of ideas that I'd like to inco-operate into our work but I know put a lot more detail into it so that reader's understand and get the reflection of our thinking :)

For example...
Here is one of my old posts, I simply added a video that I believed was successful and gave me inspiration, HOWEVER... I didn't include much text or information to explain WHY I added this.

Whereas NOW...
I include elements of ICT to visually show the reader my findings and ideas, but also add as much detail I can into a reasonable amount of text to give my interpretations too.
Here is one of my blogs that I am proud of this year, it gives entertainment and attention to detail.

I have tried to take every opportunity possible to present information through entertaining ways of ICT, I think that I am progressing in this and using a variety of technologies in each blog to not make all posts look the same and uninteresting.
I think that I have progressed a lot since last year and not been afraid to indulge and take risks by attempting to use technologies I've never used before to make the blog exciting to read.

Last year I mostly stuck to simple embedded videos and imported photos...

This year I have a lot more ICT such as...
  • Prezi

  • Wordle

  • Me and some girls from my group also used PhotoShop to create a moodboard with images found on the internet.

  • I also created GIF's on an online software and added them to my posts.

If I had to grade myself for using different ICT, I'd score around 10/20. I try my best :)

Besides showcasing all of the blogging aspects I have progressed in, there are also things that I need to improve. Such as...

  1. Not including TOO much written text, taking away the media aspect of the blog.
  2. Publishing more of my thoughts and ideas into blogs, I sometimes come up with and say things but do not show it through my blog :(
  3. Use a bigger variety of ICT.
