PLANNING: change in song choice

We decided to change our song choice of a Jessie J - Daydreaming to a different one. We felt that we should change the song because the person who would be performing in the video (Eli) wouldn't suit to the artist and the image that Jessie J has. We were stuck between two; Nina Nesbitt - Just Before Goodbye and Pixie Lott - My Love. We thought that even though Pixie Lott's would be a good song to do, The best was slow (not so much) and it was based mostly around the lyrics so naturally if we had chosen this, we would have done a narrative for the video. Originally, we had an idea of having a main narrative throughout the video for the Jessie J song. We then realised that having a narrative isn't really a convention of a pop song or any song in general as it is mainly based on the performance if te artist and trying to sell the artist. Because of this reason we all decided that the Nina Nesbitt song would be better to do as we could do more with the song in terms of different shots and camera angles and be more creative with it.
