PLANNING: Short list of potential songs (1st step)

When we first went on the quest to find potential songs for our music video our group had no idea where to start! But, after a long hard think we researched british female artists (all of our group members are female so we had to choose a female voice - I guess that narrowed it down for us!).

The process that we used to choose and eliminate songs was by...
  1. Natural first impressions, deciding whether the song would appeal to people like us, as we wanted a song that we could market to teens as we are in that age group ourselves and would therefore have a good idea on how to produce and market it!
  2. The beat of the song, imagining the potentials of editing and cuts we could mach to the audio to make the music video interesting.
FINALLY... We came up with a shortlist:

Our songs were:

Hummingbirds - Cheryl Cole

Daydreamin' - Jessie J
Just Before Goodbye - Nina Nesbitt

My Love - Pixie Lott

Back to Front - Eliza Doolittle

We chose.......... *drumroll*

After much discussion in class and through our group chat on WhatsApp (iPhone) - We decided to choose Jessie J's Daydreaming as the beat was very clear and we had a lot of upbeat ideas to cooperate into the video, already thinking of props!
