Editing
Due to the rainy weather we decided to get started on our editing today. We marked some of our footage and matched it with the soundtrack. Today, we focused on the cafe scene. We cropped some of the clips to make the overall product more consistent, as some aspects of the clips were better than others, we we wanted to keep the better ones. We added jump cuts, we had close ups of the artist and close ups of one of our props (the diary).
Experimenting with the filter...
As we are adding a vintage style filter to our music video, we decided to experiment with this today. On final cut pro, we looked at the filters they have, we chose to use yellow and orange tones. We were not satisfied with just the filter, so we also adjusted the saturation on our clip. We discovered that this enhanced our footage and improved it. We did not save these changes today as we are going to do this later on in the process, when we have all of our footage added in.
