A good example of an artist that uses synergy throughout all of the texts that they produce is Emile Sande, all of her visual products distributed into the music industry appear with an overall recognisable theme.
Her brand is consistently conveyed with a traditional theme, creating a derelict style with mise en scene such as historical props, dark clothing and colours such as black and white.
This is Emile Sande's latest album cover...
Colour Scheme: Black and white
Font: Simple: Black
Overall Style/Theme: Historical
Emile's Single 'Next To Me' Music Video
This music video continues to show...
Black & White colour scheme
- Black and white location
- Dark (almost black) lighting.
The use of a spotlight modernises the
video to appeal to the young audiences of this genre - Pop.
-Black and white costumes
Both Emile & her band member wear
black and white clothing in all
3 costume changes.
Derelict theme/style
- Abandoned looking location (old warehouse)
This creates a historical feel, just
like the album cover.
- Traditional styled props (old-fashioned piano)
Music Video for single 'Clown'
This video CERTAINLY obtains black and white as there is a grayscale filter on the visuals all the way through, it also keeps with the historical theme by having props and characters such as soldiers.
The same small black graphics and texts
that are seen on the album cover are even featured in the video!
Emile's other hit single 'My Kind of Love' Music Video
Same black & white theme features dominated this video. However, there are elements of red & pink e.g. costume (scarf , girl's jumper, girl's wig), and locational mise en scene (red swing park) to make it more specific to the song because it is about love.

Published by Elle, these photographs represent Emile's vintage style with
the black and white effect, the dull lighting, and again the simple small text font.

I think that this photo really sums up Emile Sande's brand image. It features the small black text in the background, black and white location, black part of costume, and red costume/prop elements to show that Emile's typical music is about love.
She is the perfect example of synergy and we'd recognise a video/image of her from miles away! :)
