When we first went on the quest to find potential songs for our music video our group had no idea where to start! But, after a long hard think we researched british female artists (all of our group members are female so we had to choose a female voice - I guess that narrowed it down for us!).
The process that we used to choose and eliminate songs was by...
- Natural first impressions, deciding whether the song would appeal to people like us, as we wanted a song that we could market to teens as we are in that age group ourselves and would therefore have a good idea on how to produce and market it!
- The beat of the song, imagining the potentials of editing and cuts we could mach to the audio to make the music video interesting.
FINALLY... We came up with a shortlist:
Hummingbirds - Cheryl Cole
Daydreamin' - Jessie J
Just Before Goodbye - Nina Nesbitt
My Love - Pixie Lott
Back to Front - Eliza Doolittle
We chose.......... *drumroll*
After much discussion in class and through our group chat on WhatsApp (iPhone) - We decided to choose Jessie J's Daydreaming as the beat was very clear and we had a lot of upbeat ideas to cooperate into the video, already thinking of props!
